orthodontist visit

last week Ashlie had her first orthodontist visit... they took a bunch of X-rays, photos and other things. last night I went back to talk about the treatment plan for her.
starting after spring break Ashlie will go start to prepare for her appliance to be put in. this will take 3 weeks, one appointment each week.
then she will have to wear it for the next 6 months... after all her adult teeth are in then she will be back to see if she will need braces as well (most likely she will) .

along with the appliance, Ashlie will be getting two teeth pulled out sometime within the next year. if you can see on the X-ray she has two lower teeth (4Th ones in left and right) they appear to be sinking and are lower then the other teeth. not really a big deal... but you don't want to pull them too soon.

today was report card day... Ashlie was sure it would be bad news! but it is a great report card and her teacher had lots of wonderful things to say about Ashlie. as of this school year...Ashlie LOVES math, reading and practicing her handwriting. i am sure she will have great penmanship very soon . we often find her reading the night away in bed because the story is too good to stop reading! and she never stops doing math problems.

afternoon nap

Jade is finally feeling better! this picture was taken at the end of last week, we had just found out she had a sinus infection, so no wonder she was feeling under the weather!

stacks and stacks of movies. some of them over and over again, even if they are scary! the barbie diamond castle is a little bit scary.

and then naps...

poor jadey is still barking when she coughs, and still not eating since her throat hurts too much.
she didn't get much sleep last night, it is hard to sleep when you have a sore throat and cough.

you know she must feel bad, she keeps saying her only wish was to go to Disneyland to see mickey and Minnie mouse!

jade's preschool skaking field trip

on january 30th jade's preschool had a skating field trip...

jade ready to go skating... this year the preschool couldn't get a spot at the local skating rink so we went to the National Training rink. since this is a hockey training rink they only have hockey skates. i decided not to rent skates, i can't skate very well with ladies skates let alone men's skates.

uncle andrew, davey, jade and me testing out the ice. i figured i could go on the ice with my boots on... it was way to slippery so i was not much help.

one of the preschool teachers came to help jade skate around, and then a mom from the class went around with them too.

later on some of the bars were passed around... so jade was able to skate around with the help of a bar

in other news,
Cody got back from winter camping yesterday, he was gone thursday afternoon to sunday afternoon. those boys had alot of fun, maybe he will post some pictures later...
poor Jadey bug seems to be feeling under the weather... sore throat and tired!
her throat is so sore she won't eat anything... POOR BABY!!
Ashlie is ready for a manicure... cody told her if she stopped biting her nails i would take her for one, guess i need to stop biting mine too :P

better get back to the mountain of laundry that has my name on it..

girls night

since cody was at a hockey game last night, us three girls had a movie night.
we rented mamma mia, ashlie's request. the girls loved all the singing, but didn't understand why they would be talking one second and then singing the next.
after the movie we headed up to my closet and tried on all my fancy dresses (what else do you do with those bridesmaid dresses??)....

off to the park

yesterday ashlie got a tummy bug and was sick all evening, so today she stayed home from school. after breakfast ashlie seemed to be feeling better, and both girls wanted to go to the park.
so the deal was if ashlie was fine all day we would go to park after we stopped at the school to get ashlie's work for the day.

science world trip

On tuesday Ashlie's school went to science world. Unfortunately I had to work that day so I couldn't go along this year. lucky for us pictures were posted on the class website of the fun day they had.

yesterday we went out to ikea to get a new tv stand and book shelf .
i do have more books, some of them are loaned out to a number of people... but i like being able to have family photos up with out adding holes to the walls.
